Rooftops Canada puts the values of Canada’s housing movement into action, advancing housing justice through law, policy, and community-based leadership. Your donation today supports proven and effective programs in Angola, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda, including:
• Training community paralegals to help families defend land and housing rights
• Supporting women’s leadership and equal rights to land, housing, and livelihoods
• Strengthening fair housing laws and policies
• Backing trusted local partners whose work continues long after projects end
Canadian support is already making a difference. From more secure land and housing to stronger laws and local leadership, this work is improving housing security around the world. As a result:
• 4,000 households (20,700 people) now have more secure land and housing through the Women's Spaces project (2022-2027)
• Nearly 56% of directly supported households are led by women
• 109,860 people benefit from stronger laws, trained local leaders, and fairer housing systems
