Deborah shares her powerful story of receiving a Certificate of Customary Ownership in Uganda—an important step toward greater security and recognition of her land rights. 

This process was made possible through the Women’s Spaces project, which is driving transformative results for women. For many, land tenure under customary systems can be uncertain and place women at a disadvantage. Deborah’s experience shows how access to legal recognition, combined with community-based support, can make a meaningful difference.
